The 3002 Insider began as a simple idea: what if a local venue could help tell the stories of its neighbourhood?
What started as a few conversations over the bar has grown into a quarterly magazine filled with local voices, community news, quirky histories, and the kind of stories that don’t make the papers—but matter just the same.

As a venue, it’s been a genuine pleasure to pull it all together. We get to speak with neighbours, small business owners, long-time locals, and first-time visitors—all with their own take on life in East Melbourne. The 3002 Insider is our way of celebrating the people and places that make this pocket of the city special.

It’s printed in small batches, delivered by hand, and fuelled by good chats and even better coffee. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy making it.
